I just finished your course and it was very good. i have had very good service with golden state. very prompt responses. in fact, i tell my students who want to become notaries that golden state is the one to go with -- the feedback from them has been positive. keep up the good work! Let me commend your instructor during my class. This was an excellent class that had people with experience as well as beginners like myself. There were many great questions that was asked and answered as well as conversation that put your mind at ease. At the end of the day, when we took the test, I knew that I would past the first time without a doubt. I would recommend this class to anyone wanting to become a Notary. Just a quick note to thank you...I took your course just the "one" time and passed. I would recommend this course and instructor to any one who's looking to pass their Notary exam. Instructor Bruce of Golden State Notary has done a fantastic job in presenting practically every topic and thorough explanation in the DVD (this is recorded during a live seminar by him).
I would recommend this course to any new Notary or renewin Notaries who need to take the mandatory 6-hour course.

I would like to provide my opinion/feedback re: Golden State Notary's DVD couse. I am very impressed with the information provided. Ilike Bruce Johnson. He is not boring. The way he teaches is fun and at the same time very informative. Thank you for providing the opportunity to learn the Notary Public course via the DVD and online.
I thought that the DVD course was really good.
Also, I feel the instructor was very good and
really prepared me for the test. This class was great. I passed it the first time. The teacher was so nice and she made everything so clear. I have wanted to be a notary for years, but could never find a training class that fit in to my life. Then while refing my home the Notary that came for the loan signing suggested Golden State. She said the class was fast and was key to her passing the test, she also said to sign up for the Loan signing class so I could do what she does. I checked into the class that night and found that they offered a class locally and within less then a month, and to my surprize they offered the test right after the class. I signed up that night, and took the class two weeks later. The class was easy and informative, the teach was knowlegdeable and more then willing to answer all questions. After class the State took over and the test was givin,and it took no time at all. Every thing we had just covered was on the test. I was able to take the class, test and do my live scan all within one day. Happily I took the loan signing class the next day online and passed that as well. I just found out that I passed the notary exam and received a 90% grade! My next step is to hopefully open up my own notary business during the first quarter of 2007! And all because of a former student of Golden state and their, fast, informative and seminar through Golden State. THANKS GOLDEN STATE, you have changed my life!! I took a 6-hour online course and received my certification. I didn't sign up for the notary test til about 8 months later because of other events that were going on in my life. I reviewed a few days before the test date and took a sample test online only to find that I needed a lot more reviewing to do. I didn't feel confident enough to take the exam. Golden State gained my trust after I spent some time in their forum so I decided to sign for their 1-Day seminar. I was pleased with the class and the day went by so quick! In the end I ended up paying more for the mandatory 6-hour course but it was worth it. I feel confident that I passed and when i need to renew, I'll be signing up through Golden State each and every time. The class was great and the teacher was very helpful and easy. Your DVD was great the instructor was Awesome It's all about the instructor - a great class from an incredibly knowledgeable professional - educational with interesting and humorous insights that made me a little smarter about how to conduct a notary business. It prepared me for the test. I highly recommend the class. I want to Thank you for the Easy to follow along on line class, It helped to make the testing so much easier on line. As far as the Siminar the Instructor was AWESOME. He took the time to make sure everyone understood each section completely before moving on to the next section. He took the time to answer everyones questions and make sure all understood before moving on. I passed the class first time and am very happy I used your services. It was very convenient for me and allowed me to participate within my own schedule. I scheduled and took the notary exam at the end of one of your seminars. Wow !~ what a Supprise no A&B are both correct on this one! and they really had some hard questions to consider on the test. You really have to be rock solid and be a real good listener to get past this test. Don't know if we got hit with the toughest one but it really worked my grey matter!

I would highly recommend this class to anyone thinking about getting their notary. Thank you so much for making the process of renewing my notary commission so much easier. I was able to review the course at my own pace and re-play any area regarding which I had questions. I also enjoyed Bruce's personality, his presentation was entertaining and clear. He projected an image of being very authoritative in his knowledge.
Thank you so much for this terrific product! The online DVD class was so insightful and even though I was only suppose to do the 3 hours for renewals, I did the whole 6 hours for knowledge. I would like to say thank you for sending me the DVD in the mail. I enjoyed being able to review it several times before taking the test. I found the test to be easy except for two or three questions and ended up getting 97%.

Facilitates total confidence at the end of the seminar - ready to take on the challenge and face the test with NO FEAR!! I've been a CA notary for almost 10 years and have been interested in becoming a notary signing agent. I'm a member of another association that was offering a signing agent program, but it was a mystery to me as to what was in the course, it was an all day course and they wanted to charge double the price! I happened upon your site and read the information about your course and decided to take it. I passed the test and am now able to finally market myself as a notary agent. Thanks Golden State Notary! I really enjoyed the seminar because it kept my attention the entire day. The pace was just right and I never felt hurried. Truly felt prepared for the exam. I completed the DVD course which was really convenient for me. I have children at home, so being able to watch the dvd on my own time was great. I also live in a remote area, so not having to drive many miles for the class was also convenient. My experience was excellent. The class was great....I was able to break it up - re-do and go on when I wanted to do so.
Bruce was great - some of the things he mentioned were so elementary....but common sense doesn't always click until mentioned by someone else.
Again, thank you! I did the loan signing course online. It was good, it help me with subjects you don't think of eg:Highlight pen to use and Deed of Trust always notorized. These and other questions like this were what i needed answered . Other courses I have taken by other Notary companies never addressed all these little issues.I wished I had known about Golden State from the beginning I would of done my State Exam through them I used the local college at it was awful I passed my test the first time but i never felt confident about it. I ended up spending a lot of money on extra classes that still did not help me as much a Golden State did thanks for being straight forward and to the point. That is all i needed to begin this career. These are the nicest people ever. They help me through everything and went above and beyond. They are honest and very capable. I am glad my Notary education was taught by them.
Forever grateful I did pass my test and thought the course was very well put together. Bruce was very knowledgeable and resourceful I will recommend the class to anyone who is seriously considering being a notary. The course was very informative. The instructor was very helpful and knowlegable. Lesson was good and thorough, but I would have preferred lesser jokes(don't get me wrong,it kept the student alive), but I felt we rushed toward the end, specially on the 50 questions. Altogether class was good and informative. Little details I'm not aware in the past was cleared up. Thanks. I just want to thank Bruce for the enlightening and entertaining 6 hour course. It went by in a flash! What a blessing to be able to take the class and then go straight into the test. I took the test just as Bruce recommended. It took me 25 mins and I got a score of 93%! I was very apprehensive when I was looking on the internet for a notary seminar take. But Golden State Notary posted their phone number in large bold numbers so I called it to see if they could answer some questions. I ended up calling the number 3 or 4 times before I made up my mind to take their seminar. The people who answered the phones were helpful and professional. They made me feel like they were there for me and to make sure I was comfortable with the decision I was making.
I took the notary seminar in Escondido and it was awesome. I was concerned that I would not remember everything for the test, even though you are guaranteed to pass. I was stressed, to say the least, when it came time to take the test and basically held my breath until my results came - exactly 10 business days after I took the seminar. And I passed, just as promised.
I would recommend this seminar to anyone. The instructor was awesome! He made us feel like no question was too small or insignificant to ask and didn’t make anyone feel stupid if the question was asked, answered and asked again. He made us feel like we could stay on a subject until everyone in the class got it.
Even though it was a very long day with long class hours, the instructor made it fun, relaxing and very interesting. It was a great experience.
Thanks so much to everyone at Golden State........... I thought the DVD was great!!! I thought the teacher made it interesting. I would definitely recommend the DVD to anyone that needs to take a notary course. I liked the convenience of pausing and continuing at a later time. I liked not having to drive to a location and sit in a class room. I actually did this course at my work and just paused the DVD every time I got a phone call. I would 100% recommend everyone to buy this DVD! I also have a much better understanding of my role as a notary. I'm glad the State required this course. I searched many websites. I read many notary chat boards. I learned that had I went with the first notary class, I would have been taught with out dated forms. I read so many notaries message boards with complaints when the instructors had used outdated notary forms. Another class didn't give as much detailed information as GSN did according to the poster. I searched and searched until I found GSN.
When I found GSN, they offered a free DVD. Took GSN up on their offer. I was so pleased that I did. I had no idea that the DVD would be a carbon copy of the live class. GSN had set me up to pass the state test... And I did pass on my first try. I never have taken a notary class.
Our instructor Bruce was so patient, he told us. I want you to pass the state test.!! He allowed us to ask...ask...ask as many questions we needed, he encouraged us to ask questions. We could stop him at anytime when we got stuck. We had pop quizzes throughout the day. We never got bored He even made sure that the temperature in the room was comfortable very attentive. Bruce really protected our minds

I'm 54 years old "-D, when I left GSN notary class, I will use Bruce technique testing focus on the operative words within the question. That technique removed all the clutter, and made it very easy to remain focus. I will always use his technique it works!! I am so please with my investment, and so happy I was taught by GSN I got my money worth. Actually, the DVD is worth $65.00 he gave it to me for free!! GSN challenge is real!! When I arrived for GSN class. I had already been prep via DVD. Oh I only had to view the DVD once before I took the test. I got more than what I had paid for. This was a very good investment. GSN please send my notary tools!! Must go!! To get my live scan!! :-D Yeses!!

I loved the DVD course. I could take my time and review it as often as I needed to absorb the material. It was great to be able to search and replay any portion that I needed clarification on. I would recommend this way of taking your course to anyone. Good course. I've yet to take the Loan Signing Course but so far, you guys are amazing. Thanks. Bruce's course was excellent. First of all I would like to thank Bruce Johnson for the awesome way of guiding and explaining the Notary study material. I can say that during the whole seminar there was not a single moment that I felt bored. In fact it was very exciting to listen to Bruce’s way of teaching. I completed my test in less than 20-25 minutes. I highly recommend his seminar to anyone interested in becoming a notary. I cleared the exam with 85%. Hello, i just couldn't pass up the opportunity to recommend this course for any one who is considering the study of notary law. I've just completed the certified loan signing agent course and exam and wanted to express my sincere thanks for the ease of manuevering thru the chapters. After considering taking a course with another site, where I'd have to navigate thru 476 pages of information, I was very pleased to find that GSN offered a course that I could do at my own pace and that I would still receive the same pertinent information, but without all of the legal mumbo jumbo that I probably wouldn't encounter on a regular basis as a signing agent anyway. It really shattered the doubts I had about whether or not I could not only understand the information presented, but also if I could even pass the exam. I am happy to say that I did pass and to my surprise, on my very first attempt, but I feel I would not have been able to had it not been for the clear, concise manner in which this course is presented.

Thank you I just took the class this past Friday and it really exceeded my expectations. I thought it was going to be another boring seminar but boy was I wrong. This was a fabulous seminar and I really enjoyed learning this stuff. The instructor was so excited about the material and that excitment really made learning the material fun and easy. He perodically would drill the class on the material and would then concentrate on those areas that he felt we were weak on given how long it took us to answer or given our answers. By 4:00, I felt very ready to take the exam and I feel that I did very well on the exam. I will keep you posted on my results and my progress. Well, I am off the sign up for the Loan Signer Course! I attended the notary education seminar in Long Beach, California yesterday and was quite pleasantly surprised. I thought this seminar was going to be dreary and mind-numbing, but the instructor kept the information interesting and fun. I have been a notary since 1986 and had always (like everyone else until July 2005)read the Notary Handbook put out by the Secretary of State before I took my test to renew my commission. BORING!, but necessary. However Bruce Johnson did an excellent job in teaching the necessary information in such a way that it was "fun" to learn about Notary Law. He also reminded us in "review quizzes" of what we were learning and had to memorize. This was a very helpful tool. Thank you, Bruce, for your fine effort on teaching! I will definately let others know about this company and actually look forward to having a review class in 4 years. Passed the first time - The teacher was great. I enjoyed taking the Golden State Notary course on Line it was very informative and I learned more that I'm sure I would if I had taken the one day course for it gave me the oppertunity to go over the class and sample exam and it was the determining factor in me passing the test the first taking. I took the seminar from Bruce Johnson a few weeks ago in Buena Park. It was a small class, and I felt like I learned a lot. The first time I took a seminar was eight years ago and it was more of a cattle call with probably 400 in attendance. There was plenty of opportunity to ask questions this time around. I did very well on the test, although I always have self doubts after I take that test as to if I passed! It continues to be a tricky test. Thanks so much Andy; it is apparent that you
have thought out these pages for everyone. The course was absolutely excellent. Bruce Johnson presented the material in such a way that it was very easy to retain the material. The exam was VERY tricky, but the answer was obvious if, as Bruce taught, you read the question twice. I am happy to say that I passed the exam and am looking forward to receiving my commission and then taking your online Loan Certification course. My brother recommended I take the notary course only with Golden State. I will recommend the same. Thank you again, I attended the September 30th Seminar in Bakersfield with Mr. Bruce Johnson. This was my second Notary Seminar. Mr. Johnson was a great facilitator. He made the subject (if at all possible) interesting with humor and side bars. I enjoyed it very much. When I took the practice test I missed only 2. I felt very confident going into the test itself. However, when I read the test questions I felt like they were in Russian! I went over them again and again. Bottom line, I am not confident at all that I passed the test. It is amazing to me why CPS thinks they have to word these in long, verbose, parables. The real world of the Notary is no where near thier realty.
That's my two cents. Again, Bruce was great. the coarse was great and very informative, i was very sick that day of class and i was still able to pass the class and the instructor was fun and kept us going..thank u i will refer people to u.. Bruce Johnson did a fantastic job teaching the seminar. It was not long and dragged out, but he made it very interesting and extremely hard for anyone NOT to pass! It was my refresher class to renew my notary and I am glad that I went to his class. It was a totally different experience than the first time around and a much smaller class as well. I believe I had finished my test within 20 mintues with no problems or doubts at all.
I highly recommend his seminar. Really enjoyed the class and the instructor . . he not only was very informative and knowledgeable, but he also kept us entertained. Every question was answered, and the test was a breeze . . I've been a notary for years and with each class I've gained additional information, but this course far exceeded my expectations. Thank you for a job well done. The Instructor made the Seminar a fun and great experience in learning and understanding the true meaning of becoming a Notary. One someone had a question, the Instructor took the time to explain it so that you could understand. The class was very infomative and Bruce explained all the laws and regulations. He made it easy and fun. Thank you! I took the seminar in September, 2005 and took the test immediately after the class. I thought I didn't pass the test because the first three questions threw me completely. As it turned out, I passed with 87% I have no previous Notary knowledge. The instructor was great. He made learning the info about as painless as one can imagine. The materials were clear and easy to follow. I highly recommend using Golden State Notary. One word of advice. The actual test is pretty short. After you answer all the questions, even if you think you got them all right, read each one again. As there are so few questions, each counts as a big percentage. It's easy to misread a question and get a wrong answer because of carelessness. I wanted to write and commend one of your employees. I called for help last week as I realized that I had never received some of the items for which I had paid extra. Specifically, I needed to use my notarial journal and did not have one! The instructor was wonderful! I passed with a 93 and learned a ton in class. This could easily have been a very long and boring class, but with an instructor who had such a great sense of humor and the patience to thoroughly explain the answers to our questions, it was actually FUN!! The Clarion Hotel was easy to find and all of the step by step instructions in our books didn't leave any stone unturned as to what we needed to learn and what to expect from here in pursuing our notary public careers. Thanks so much; I'm so glad I chose Golden State Notary!! I enjoyed the Notary class that I took in Fresno, California. The instructor made it fun and exciting while we learned. I would give a 10/10 for overall in class and education. I also took the Notary Loan Signee class online and found that it was helpful especially because I am going to be a Loan Agent. This also helped me review before I take my Real Estate State Exam. I rate this overall class online a 8/10. My suggestion is if you could teach this class in person and have the after noon class on "how to sign up for the webpage", "employemnt search", "marketing oneself" and maybe some other helpful hints on getting our personal business started. When I am done with getting my commision, oath & bond I would like to join the Notaries of California and make a webpage for Loan Signee agent. Can you please send me step by step to do so. Thank You Normally I would not respond to emails like this, but I have one thing to say…my instructor, Bruce Johnson, rules! Not only did he help me understand everything I needed to know about being a notary public, but he made taking your seminar enjoyable and fun. It is because of him that I would gladly refer my friends or family to Golden State Notary. The only suggestion I can offer you is to post exam score quicker…other than that, thanks for a great seminar! It was a great seminar. Very informative, informational and I enjoyed the instructor. Thank you! The notary class was exceptional. I learned what I needed and more. It moved along at a good pace and we got our questions answered. I had such a good experience that I recommended it to a friend who has since signed up. I found your ad in the newspaper. I was orginally going to take the course at a junior college but could not attend on their date, therefore I took yours I'm glad I did. I passed and am on my way to becoming a notary. Your physical address needs to be on your website. My company paid for the course and needed a business address. I had to call you for it. I'm sure your loan signing course would be as thorough, however, I have already taken one somewhere else and have been a loan doc supervisor for a large company so I know loan docs quite well. It is my pleasure to recommend you. Thank you for your inquiry...Here are my comments: Bruce, our instructor was outstanding...an informative and entertaining instructor. Attention and focus are vital for this type of seminar and his presentation style enabled us to maintain our focus and attention throughout the day. In general, I would have to admit that I had no idea what the subject matter would be for preparation of the notary exam nor was I prepared for the volume of detail that I would be responsible to assimilate in such a short period of time to be confident about taking the exam and performing the duties of a Notary upon passing the exam. Frankly, my brain was completely overloaded just prior to and during the exam process. I wasn't even capable of going back to review the questions and answers after I finished going through the exam the first time; I just couldn't think clearly any more. I may well have passed the exam, but recognizing the responsibilities and liabilities of becoming a Notary after completion of this one-day seminar I would be more confident in performing these services if I had had more of an opportunity to review and assimilate the material prior to taking the exam. Passing the exam is one thing; retention of the details so that I believe I am confidently capable of performing these notary services is another. It's that "short-term memory" concept that may help for performing well on an exam, but have I truly retained the content of what I learned so that I can perform the duties and responsibilities of a Notary with confidence? I can tell you that before I offer my services within my company, I'll be doing a lot more reviewing of the Notary handbook and seminar material. I would have preferred attending the 6-hour course and then be given an opportunity to study for the exam and take the exam the following day. Or that the seminar be a two-day seminar for a shorter period each day, which would have provided more of an opportunity to truly learn the material more efficiently for better retention. I believe the subject matter is of a serious nature and overwhelming to learn all at one time, in six hours AND with an exam to pass in the end. In addition, we ordered our Notary Public materials, without knowing for sure whether or not we passed the exam. In conclusion, I feel confident that Bruce did an outstanding job teaching the material and in preparing us for the exam, however, I believe the subject matter is a bit overwhelming to assimilate in a six-hour, one-day course, especially given the responsibilities and liabilities one assumes in performing the services of a Notary Public. I enjoyed the class so much that I almost forgot we were actually taking a class.... : ) Our instructor was outstanding and very thorough. He made the class fun, but kept it on task. I give him an A++. P.S. I just check the website for my test results, and I PASSED!!!! I had a wonderful experience. The online registration was easy and straightforward to use. The seminar was very helpful and I had a lot of fun. Bruce Johnson was a great instructor. He gave all of the information and did so in manner that was easy to understand. Thank you so much for a very pleasant experience; I was a little nervous about attending due to the fact that I just recently returned to the work force, and had not being in a learning-type setting in a very long time so I did not know what to expect. But the instructor made all the difference, and I really mean that. I Don’t know who is going to read this e-mail and I certainly don’t want to get anybody in trouble but just let him know that there is a reason why his life was spared. Thank you for a great service and God bless. When I contacted the telephone registration staff they were able to answer my questions and returned my call within a reasonable amount of time. The website was informative and gave good, detailed information. The instructor of the class was good and made the class interesting. This made the learning the material alot more interesting and easier. The location of the seminar was assessible and easy to get to. The overall service of the Golden State Notary seminar was really good. I was very happy with the instruction and felt that it covered everything I would need during the testing process. More to the point though, it prepared me for what I hope will be a productive second career and will keep me out of trouble in the legal sense. Thank you. |
